At 10, Roy has not yet decided on a career for himself.
But it would not be surprising if some one thought of steering
this handsoi.te youngster towards being a model. Can't you
see him pictured in the latest of boys' sports wear?
That would be appropriate in other ways besides looks
because Roy is a sports enthusiast. He plays all kinds of
games with zest, hockey being the" favorite. He also enjoys
riding his bike and thinks camping is the ideal life. Another
interest is building models and he is fond of music.
An unsettled period in his life resulted in Roy spending
11 months in a Children's Residential Centre. He responded
well to therapy and has been out of the centre for a year.
Roy still needs patient and constant controls but is basi-
cally a delightful boy, outspoken and honest with a good sense
of humor. He is lively, active, impish and competitive.
French-Canadian in descent, Roy is a healthy, husky lad
with big dark eyes, brown hair and clear, tanned skin. He is
in Grade four, below the average for his age but doing satis-
factory work.
This likeable lad needs young, energetic, understanding
parents. It would be ideal if he could be the only child or one
of a small family with no other children close to him in age.
Roy is asking for family of my own" and adopting par-
ents will indeed be rewarded if through warmth and patience
they can convince him that he is wanted and loved.
To inquire about adopting Roy, please write to Today's
Child, Box 888, Station K, Toronto. For general adoption
information, please contact your Children's Aid Society.
