Last week end Mrs. Riggine from. Toronto visited her moth- er? CECIL PAYNF Cecil Payne of the 2nd con- cession of Grey TOWnShip, pass,- ed away in Listowel. Hospital, on Wednesday, September, 20th 1972. He was in his 68th year. Born on the 2nd concession of Grey Township, the son of the late Mr, and Mrs. E. Payne, he ree0Veci his early education in that Township. On March 17th, 1931 he married in Tor-. onto the former Eve Kitch, ener. A member of PIP force of Metro Toronto. Police Depart- ment, he retired in March, 1953 after 25 years of service and re- turned to this community. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Scott of Stratford, and Harvey of Molesworth,, and, two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Gertrude) Bolger of Brussels and Mrs. Fred (Pearl) Fowler of Port Elgin. Resting at the M.L. Watts Funeral. Home, Brussels, the fun- eral service was held at St. John's Anglican Church, Brus- sels, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept- ember 23rd, with the Rev. Keith Stokes, officiating. Burial took place in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were; John Johnston, Hans den Dekker, Glen McKercher, Allan Breckenridge, Jim Fraser, Jim Adams.
