holds annual
meeting
Brussels dart club held its
annual meeting on ,Wednesday
and installed new officers for, the
coming season. Officers are;
President- Sam WorkMah,
Treasurer - Willis Knight, Sec-
retary - Ernie Back.
The regular games are to
start on Oct. 4, 1972..
Midgets
enter finals,
win 3 0
Brussels midgets eked oui
a victory by the tune of 6 -
over Teeswater on Tuesday to
win the best of five 3 - 0 which
allows the team to enter the
finals.
The game was highlighted by
a 16 stike-out performance by
the pitcher, Gerald wheeler.
Pete Booger Gibson led at
the plate with two doubles and
a triple at four times at bat.
In the last six play off games
they have gone undefeated allow-
ing only 20 runs while scoring
58.
Eight teams
complete
season
For the past few weeks Horse
Shoe throwing was played by
8 teams behind the Canadian
Legion. It was much enjoyed
by all players, experienced and
inexperienced alike, and all
players are looking forward to
next years playing.
Hopefully more players will
join as this is a much liked
sport and is played by old and
young alike. Those who want to
join next spring should get in
touch with the Brussels Legion
or with Ernie Back.
