Area Weddings o
Honored guests at the wedding
included the bride's maternal
grandparents of Walton, Mr. and
Mrs. James McDonald who that
day were celebrating their 47th
wedding anniversary. Also pres-
ent were Mrs. Sara Harris of
Oakville, the groom's maternal
grandmother and Mrs. JackVe-
Donald, great aunt of the bride,
of Walton and Toronto. '
Guests were present from
Oakville, Hamilton, 13urlington',
Kitchener, Guelph, Fort Erie,
Toronto, Boston, Royal Oak,
Michigan, Woodstock, St. Cath-
arines, Stratford and the immed-
iate vicinity.
Prior •to her marriage the
bride was feted on several oc-
casionS. Mrs. Mary Bryans and.
Barbara, of Brussels entertained
the school friends and relatives.
Here she received many beaut-
iful linens.
At the Brussels Library many
neighbors, friends and relatives,
gathered and presented her with
a variety of useful miscellaneous
gifts.
ManY of the students in her
class at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Guelph, presented her with gifts
suitable for outdoor entertaining
at an outdoor gathering.
Miss Dorothy Elliott of Brus-
sels was hostess to a "stag"
when Joyce was presented with a
beautiful red coffee perk by her
Brussels school chums.

Silver candelabra, white gla-
dioli, yellow snapdragons, Sh-
asta daisies and mums formed the
setting for the marriage of Joyce
Edna Huether, older daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Huether,
Brussels, and Roger Newton
Tipple, only son of Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Tipple of Oakville atMel-
vile Presbyterian Church on Sat-
urday, Sept. 2, at 6 o'clock. Rev.
C. A. McCarroll officiated.
Miss Ann Oldfield of Brus—
sels played traditional wedding
music and accompanied the sol-
oist, Miss Linda Wilson of Brus-
sels, when she sang "The Wed-
ding Prayer" and "For All We
Know",
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, looked lovely in
a full skirted long sleeved white
satin gown with empire waist-
line and white lace trimming. Her
short veil was held in place with
white beading and small flowers.
She carried a bouquet of white
carnations and pink sweetheart
roses.
Her attendants included Miss
Barbara Bryans of Brussels as
maid of honor; Mrs. Dianne
Huether, sister-in-law of the
bride, Brussels and Mrs. Sheila
Chisolm, sister of the groom,
Oakville as bridesmaids; Miss
Joan Huether, sister of the bride,
Brussels, as junior bridesmaid
and Miss Sandra Huether,
Brussels, niece of the bride,
as flower girl.
They wore similar dresses
of multi-colored crepe de chine
and carried bouquets of white
shasta mums and yellow roses.
Mr. Paul Eng, Hamilton, a
friend of the groom, was best
man. The ushers were Brian
Huether and David Huether, bro-
thers of the bride, of Brussels
and David Chisholm, brother-
in-law of the groom, of Oak-
ville.
For the wedding reception
held in the Brussels Legion Hall
the bride's mother received the
230 guests in a peach colored
floor length gown of peau de
soie with silver trim and
accessories. Her corsage was
of white carnations.
The groom's mother assisted
wearing a floor length yellow
crepe gown with gold accessories
and a corsage of bronze mums.
Don McDonald, uncle of the
bride, of Walton, acted as em-
cee for the occasion and Glen
Huether of Brussels, another
uncle of the bride, proposed the
toast to her.
For the wedding trip the bride
chose a grey tweed pant suit
with velveteen trim.
The young couple will be re-
siding in Burlington at 518 In-
dian Road. The bride is a 19'72
graduate of St. Joseph's Hosp-
ital of Guelph and has accepted
a position on the staff of Jdseph
Brant Hospital at Burlington.
The groom is a graduate of
Guelph and Hamilton universities
and is on the staff of British
Leyland, Burlington) Ontario.

Jacqueline B. Alcock and Keith
Frig Lebold. The bride is the
only daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
Thonlaa Alcock of Kitchener. The
groom is the son Of Mrs. Clara
Lebold and the late Mr. Lebold
Of Baden.
The wedding music was play-
ed by.Mrs. Shaun Stephenson of
Brussels, Ont.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her grandfather Mr.
John Alcock of R.R. #3, Brussels.
The bride wore a white sa-
tin floor length gown with em-
pire waist trimmed with Chantilly
lace and cap sleeves. A long
flowing train, extending from her
wedding ring head piece was
carried by Louise Alcock, cousin
of the bride. The bride carried
a white prayer book with yellow
sweetheart roses and satin
streamers trimmed with yellow
rose buds.
Mrs. Colleen Werner of Baden
was matron of honor. She wore
a gown of green and white floral
chiffon over satin and a white
wide brimmed hat with green
trim. She carried white and
yellow shasta daisies. Miss
Louise Alcock wore an emerald
green satin floor length gown,
green hair bow and a corsage
of yellow sweetheart roses.
David werner of Baden was
groomsman and the guests were
ushered by Collin Alcock of Kit-
chener, brother of the bride,
and Ross Alcock of Brussels,
uncle of the bride.
The reception was held in
the church hall. The bride's
mother wore a gray and blue
figured .dress with a white carn-
ation corsage. The groom's
mother was dressed in wine and
black figured dress with a white
carnation corsage.
A social gathering was held
in the Brussels Canadian Legion
following the supper.
For travelling the bride chose
a patterned purple hot pant suit
with a corsage of yellow sweet-
heart roses.
Jackie and Keith will reside
in Baden, Ont.

Larke Eleanore Carson and
Neil Thomas McDonald ex-
changed marriage vows inGorrie
United Church, on Saturday, Sept-
ember 16th, 1972. The 4:30
o'clock ceremony was solemized
by Rev. George Sach amid a set-
ting of arrangements of glads
and candelabra.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carson
of Gorrie. Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
McDonald of Brussels are par-
ents of the groom.
Traditional wedding music
was played by Mrs. G. W. Sach
who also accompanied the solo-
ist, Miss Peggy Carson, of
Brockville, cousin of the bride,
who sang "Wedding Prayer" and
"We 're Only Just Begun".
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was charming
in a white traditional gown of
Chantilly lace, fashioned with
fitted bodice, long Victorian
sleeves, with full tiered skirt
ending in a Cathedral train. Her
scalloped, elbow length veil, was
held in place by a lace covered
Juliet cap, trimmed with dainty
crystals and pearls. She wore
a gold filagre leaf and diamond
broach, belonging to her pater-
nal great grandmother. She car-
ried a cascade boquet of orange
Delight roses, white stephanatis,
and trailing ivy.
Miss Colleen Carson,Gorrie
was her sister's maid o honor.
She wore an A-line gown of
shrimp sculptured nylon. Ven-
ice lace yoked the white cryst-
alette bodice and edged the ruf-
fled sleeves. Shrimp and white
rosette headpiece of matching
material, white gloves, and white
satin shoes, completed her attire.
She carried a cascade boquet
of orange Delight mses, blue
cornflower, white 13aoy's Breath
and ivy.
Bridesmaids, Miss Susan
Carson of Brockville, cousin of
the bride, Miss Lynda Johnston,
Gorrie friend of the bride, and
the junior bridesmaid, MissSan-
dra Carson, Gorrie, youngest
sister of the bride, wore gowns
identical to that of the maid of
honor.
Miss Kimberley Anne Stevens
Of Toronto, as flower girl wore
a yellow gown identical to the
bridesmaids and carried a bask-
et of flowers resembling those
carried by the bride.

The ringbearer, Master Bradley
Christian of Palmerston, cousin
of the bride, was similarily
dressed.
The wedding dinner was fol-
lowed by a reception and dance
with music provided by Elliott
Carruthers of Ripley, Ont.
The bride's mother received
the guests in a floor length en-
semble of avacado green coat
over green and white figured
gown. Her accessories were
gold and white with white gar-
denia corsage.
The groom's mother wore a
yellow A-line floor length gown
with appliqued nylon bodice, long
slim sleeves. Her corsage was
orange Delight roses.
For a wedding trip to North-
. ern Ontario the bride donned
a grey double knit suit with
grey and white sleeveless vest
and red accessories. Her cor-
sage was red carnations.
The couple will reside in
Brussels, Ontario.
Out-of-town guests attended
from Brockville, Toronto,
London, Kitchener, Ottawa, God-
erich, Guelph and surrounding
area.
The rehearsal party was held
at the home of the groom's par-
ents. Pre-nuptial events hon-
oring the bride were held by
Mrs. I. Toner, assisted by Mrs.
A. Taylor and Mrs. A. Gibson;
Mrs. L. Johnston assisted by
Miss Lynda Johnston; a luncheon
at Middlesex College, London;
a picnic and presentation was
held by Amberly cottage neigh-
bours and friends. A trousseau
tea was also held in honour of
the bride by her mother,
