The roll call was "A memory from a ploughing match". The short course "News and Ideas for Kitchens" will be held at the Cranbrook Hall on Nov- ember 15th. The Fall Rally will be held on Oct. 2nd in the Auburn Hall. Mrs. F. Workman and Mrs. C. Sterner will be the voting dele- gates. The Area Convention is on Nov. 2nd and 3rd in St. John's United Church, Stratford. Mrs. Donald Terrie gave an Informative talk on metric ••••••••••••••,,,... Mrs, Fischer conducted the presentation of a Life Member- ship to Miss Forrest given on behalf of the two groups and Was presented by Mrs. Stewart Steiss, president of the even- ing group. Miss Dickson con- tributed a solo and Mrs. Veitch read a poem "Our Choice." Refreshments were served by Mrs. Fischer, Mrs. Mac Engel and Mrs. Stuart McNair. Holy Communion was cele- brated in Knox Church on Sun- day morning with the minister Rev. C. A, Falconer officiating On Sunday September 17 the Sac- rament of Baptism will be ad- ministered at the service at 9:30 Sunday School will follow. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stuart and daughers, Lindsay, were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Doug- las Purdy. Will Perrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Perrie, has re- sumed his studies at University of Toronto, following working with National Research, Ottawa, for .the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Williams and son Garry, London, Ont., Mr. and Mrs. Gwilym Morgan, London, Egnland, Mrs. Stuart McNair and Myra, visited in Brussels with Mrs. W. A. Williams.
