Business Directory UCW afternoon unit has meeting The Afternoon Unit of the Brussels U.C.W. met at the home of Mrs. N. Hoover, Tuesday afternoon with 13 members and 4 visitors in attendance. 'Mrs. W. Turnbull was in charge of the Devotional part of the program and read a poem, "The Open Bible". "What a Friend. We Have In Jesu s" was sung and Miss Laura Lucas read the Scripture. Galatians 6: 1-10. Mrs. Th- omas convened the business meeting. Miss Skelton intro- duced a book entitled "patch- work Pieces" and read two se- lections. Miss Lucas presented a tape recording "Servant of all" which told of some of the ex- periences of Bill Jackson, his wife and daughter Jennifer who were early missionaries to Rhod- esia. At Bancroft the Jackson's found the blacks livings in small, ugly homes and separated from the whites. The National Con- gress Party declared all people equal through brotherhood in Christ. A new church was built at the station with black and white people working together giving help with money, labour and sore blisters. The October meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. De Vries.
