In the up-coming Federal
Election there will be voting, for
the first time, Canadian teen-
agers from 18 years on., By all
indications there are a great
many of them who are interested,
and actively engaged, in some
phase of the political scene. Not
so many years ago it would have
been unusual to find our older
teen-agers seriously concerned
with the affairs of their country.
Now, after the prolonged unrest
among them they seem to be
interested in trying to do some-
thing constructive. Let us hope
they think long and hard on what
kind of Canada they want to live
in in the years to come.

Shopping in a large city can
be an exercise in fatigue and
frustration. If you are acquain-
ted with the stores, know what
you are looking for can be found
at approximately the price you
are prepared to pay, all is re-
latively simple. If you are a
stranger in the marts of the
metropolis in which you find
yourself, you can walk weary
miles, along the streets, wander-
ing through the endless aisles of
huge department stores. When
you, foot-sore and exhausted,
eventually locate exactly what you
were looking for you will often
discover you could have found
much the same thing, without all
that searching, in your home-
town stores at no greater cost,
and often as not, at a more
reasonable one. Granted that in
the city you have a much greater
choice, for those of us who are
not avid, happy shoppers, it does
not make up for the time and
effort expended looking for, and
choosing from the array of
things displayed.
