McTavish, who had an arta wrenched
off at the Windham planing trill last
week, is a brother-in-law of our towns-
man, Mr. R. Henderson, turnkey. We
are sorry to hear that Mr. McTavish is

Goderich, and will likely be a popular
social amusement this season. It is re-

Board of School Trustees was held on
Monday evening last.
Present, Mr. Crabb in rho chair, and
Messer' Coke, Swanson, McGaw, Fer-

were read and approved.
REPORT
Mr. W. R. Miller, principal of the
Central School, submitted the regular
monthly report. of attendance, &c., in
the different departments, which was re-
ceived and filed.
RESIGNATION.
A communication was read from bliss
Drummond, resigning her position as
prin:ipal of St. Patrick's Ward School.
The resignation was accepted by the
Board with regret, as Miss Drummond
hail proved herself an efficient teacher.
