On June 21st, even through the
nasty weather (you should see my
spikes), the regular two ball.
Pines were completed.
In the first match-up, the
Dolphins could only field seven
players while the HighlanderS
had eight, but the game was
played and counted. Ken Ritchie
made his pitching debut for the
Dolphins, but lasted for only
three batters. (all walks). He
did show good stuff and is a real
corner!! The score of the game
was 10 - '7 for the Highlanders,
which moved them into sole pos-
session of second place.
In the second game, the
Clippers defeated the Buccaneers
by the score of 22 - 15. In the
early going, it looked like the
Schooners were going to really
shipwreck the Bucs, but with a
change of hurlers, the Pirates
made a last ditch effort to make
a game of it. Brian Rutledge
did a superb job allowing only
5 runs in 5 innings , but Hoyt
Wilhelm Lowe was pounded for
10 runs in two innings.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
For the Highlanders, it was
no contest, as Al Kahle Valiance
smashed 2 triples and, accumul-
ated 3 walks at 5 at bats.
The Dolphins really didn't

this week Joe Fireball Hastings
gets the call, for his exuberant
bustle!
The star for the Buccaneers
was Gord, the Cheek, Machan
who scored 3 runs on a triple
double and 2 singles.
Ralph Trembling Triebner
scored 4 runs for the Burbers,
with 3 singles and a triple, to go
with his spectacular catching, to
warrant a star for hi s team.
