Wroxeter. Forest Lodge was our
sponsoring or mottidr lodge. Sp
along with our lair village w e

The Charter members of ST,
Johns were W.M. W.J.R. Holmes
Sr. warden John W. Kerr &
Jr. Warden Wm, G. HingstOn

Wrn. Armstrong. These seven
Members, being a quorum, form-
ed the first lodge. The lodge
has continued to grow so that
at present we have approximately
eighty-seven Members.
Icannot give too much of our
early history as a result of
having two unfortunate fires, One
Was in April 1879 which destroy-
, ed all our furnishings and records
and the second being in the late
John. Wright's office when many
more records were destroyed.
. I do know that the first temple
was in the Fishley block up un-
til 1879, where the lodge met
from then until 1885. I don't
know the exact date but around
that time we went into our pre-
' sent quarters above Mr. Archer
Grewars store.
