Mr. Diefenbaker paid tribute
to Mr. cardiff saying, '1 always
called him Levi Cardiff. He
entered the House in the same
year I did and we became fast
friends. He was a good member,
recognized as such in all parts
of the chamber.
"His views in.caucus were
highly regarded, and in the House
he spoke on those matters which
had to do with agriculture in
particular. He was down to
earth; he knew what people were
thinking."
Senator Paul Martin, now
government leader in the Sen-
ate, described, Mr. Cardiff as
"a good member of parliathent".
"While we were not of the
same political party" said Sen-
ator Martin, "I recognized him
as a man devoted to the interests
of his country."

Association told a recent meeting
of directors at Hanover that
directors should think about the
necessary changes needed for
their companies to become true
Community Mutual Insurance
Companies.
The spring meeting was
attended by McKillop Mutual dir-
ectors John Moylan, William. R.
Pepper and Robert Archibald.
