Belgrave- Wonien'S Institute in the Community Centre on June 20th. She took as her theme "The Manner of your speaking is filly as important as the matter''. The guest speaker, Mrs, Bessie Hoad, outlined the prob., lems in speech children have and hOw they can be corrected if started at an early age. Mrs. Hoad is a special speech teacher working in the schools in the northern part of Hpron County. She works with approximately 105 pupils per week, mostly on an individual basis. Mrs. Murray Lougheeci of Belgrave presented old favorite tunes on the piano. The roll call 'IA tongue twister", brought forth some amusing answers from the seven- teen Members Present. Mrs. Michie showed a film on ''The Rise and Fall, of the Great Lakes". Mrs, Ivan Wightman gave detailed report on the recent Huron West. District Annual Meeting at Wingham. MrS. NOrman Coulter pre- sided for business. Minutes and financial statement were read by secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Stan Hopper. Committees were named for the Huronview birthday party on September 20 which the In- stitute will be in charge of. The annual memorial service at Brandon Cemetery will be held Sunday, July 2 at S p.m. Rev. John Roberts will take charge. B4LGRAVE JUNIOR AUXILIARY The 12th Meeting of the Bel- grave Junior Anxiliary was held at the Orange Hall on Saturday morning and opened with games led by Bonnie Walker and the treasurer's report by Dianne Scott. LeaderS for the next meet- ing, games - Alison Roberts, sing-song Cindy Campbell, to help with worship service - Dian- ne Scott, clean up girl - Audrey Scott. Cindy Campbell helped with the worship service. Lisa Thompson and Patsy Scott col- lected the offering and Kelly Lougheed recited the offertory prayer. Workshop for the day proceeded with the junior working on knitting and the senior girls Continued to learn more about the Bible for their special badge. The sing song was led by Ruth Ann White. Wheeler families meet The 7th reunion of the Wheeler families was held on Sunday afternoon at the Belgrave Com- munity Centre with 60 members registering. The Wheeler of the Brussels area were in charge of the arrangements. A variety of interesting games and contests kept old and young entertained during the after- noon. Prizes were awarded to the youngest child present, the two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wheeler of Brussels. Those coming the greatest distance Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Davis, Brkmpton. The couple with a wedding anniversary closest to the date, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wheeler, Blyth; the man with the biggest shoe, Ross Higgins, Belgrave. Supper was enjoyed and Mr. Robert Wheeler took charge of business. A letter from Mrs. Jennie. Wheeler of Vancouver was read. It was decided to hold another reunion in two years on the last. Sunday of June at the same place with the Wheelers of Belgrave in charge. Mr. and Mrs. John Knox of Kindersley, saSic., the former Margaret Gallagher, daughter of the late Eva, Nethery and RQSS Gallagher, were visitors, last week with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nethery and Alex, Mr. and. Mrs. Abner Nether)', Mrs. Mary Wade, Miss Stella Nether)', whQ is 2' patient in Wingham and District Hospital, Mrs. Edna Nethery and Mary Isabel, Mrs,Herb Wheeler, and other relatives, also with. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin. Gallagher of Kitchener and Mr. and Mrs. James Gallagher of Galt. While in Ontario they went to Niagara Falls, Ottawa and other points of interest in Ontario. Miss Gail Mayberry of Kit- chener visited on the week end with her girl friend Miss Annie Phelan of Blyth. Miss Marlene Purdon of Kitchener was a week end visi- tor with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Purdon. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Rinn were Friday visitors with Mrs. William Gordon and. Tom of Kinloss. Miss Joyce Taylor of Toronto and James Taylor visited their father, Mr. Lawrence Taylor on Saturday. lie is a patient in Victoria Hospital, London. Mr. and mrs. Eric Cone of Burlington visited with Mr. Taylor on Sunday, also called on Mrs. Lawrence Taylor in Belgrave. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilkinson of Goderich visited on Saturday with Mr. Howard Wilkinson and Miss Annie Baker. A large crowd attended the Country Fayre and supper spon- sored by the Belgrave United Church on Saturday afternoon and evening. Mr. Robert Procter returned home on Monday from the wing- ham and District Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bieman, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Biema.n, Neil and Evelyn, John'Leptington of Bayfield, Douglas Bieman of London attended the Bieman and Geddes wedding at Knox Pres- byterian Church, Elora on-Satur- day. Walter Scott and Robert Hibberd attended the church ser- vice under the auspices of North 'Perth L.O.L. in Donegal United 'Church on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Logan ,were pleasantly surprised Sat- urday evening on the occasion of their 35th wedding anniversary. They were entertained at the Blue Barn by their family and on re- turning home found other mem- bers of their family, neighbours and friends gathered for a social evening. They were recipients of many gifts. Mrs. Logan is the daughter of Mr. Albert Vincent and the late Mrs. Vincent and Mr. Logan's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Logan of Blyth. They were married June 26th 1937, at tile Manse Belgrave, by Rev. J. B. Townend. The attendants were her sister Edna (Mrs. Roy McSwean), and the late George Martin.
