Rev. Howard Kerr of B.C.,
son of Rev. Samuel Kerr, for-
mer minister of Melville Pres-
byterian Church, Brussels, now
of Atwood, died at the aze of
37. He is 'survived by his wife
and two. children. He received
his public school education
Brussels and is remembered by
many here, Mr. and Mrs. David Hall of
Orillin Spent a few days with,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack McCutcheon.

The Melville Guild met in
the church with Jessie Little
presiding for the devotional per-
iod. She opened the meeting with
a poem on "May". Susan Lang-
lois gave ,her speech on the
"Black Donnellys' ' and the Scrip-
ture lesson was read in unison.
The topic on "Fallow Ground"
was given by Thelma Cardiff.
Rose Marie Bishop presided for
the business. Plans were made
concerning the smorgasbord din-
ner, the hockey supper and Lions
supper. Lunch was served by a
committee including Jessie Lit-
tle, Mildred Perrie and Thelma
Cardiff.
