Investigations carried out by
the OPP at Wingham Detachment
include;
• Four investigations under the
Liquor Control Act with four
persons charged.
Twenty charges under the
Highway Traffic Act with Seven-
teen persons warned.
Twenty-seven investigations
under the criminal Code of Can-
ada with three persons charged.
On April 2, Donald H. Gib
son of Brussels fell asleep while
driving his vehicle north on #12
County Road. His vehicle crossed
the southbound lane and struck
and broke a hydro pole. There
were no injuries, and total dam-
ages were estimated at $700.00.
John W. Gillis of R.R. #2,
Brussels, and Robert R. Goulet
of Brussels were involved in a
motor vehicle accident on Huron
Road #12, north of Huron Road
#16. The vehicles were in col-
lision as the Gillis vehicle turned
to go back onto the roadway
from a private driveway (park-
ing area). Damages were esti-
mated at $1400.00. Robert Gou-
let received minor injuries.
Charges are pending.
John K. Higgins of Brussels
was towing a snowmobile trailer
in which Kenneth D. Higgins was
riding. While making a right
turn, the trailer tipped, throw-
ing Kenneth against a tree, and
injuring his left leg.
On April 4, Earl Cober of
Fordwich and William J. Doig,
of R.R. #3, Palmerstbn entered
the intersection of c MOSS=
2-3, flowick Township atSideroad
30-31, and collided. Mr,,Doig,
received minor injuries,, Dam-
ages to both vehicles were est-
(mated at $1200.00, Charges are
pending.
On April 6, while travelling
south on Highway #4, David C.
Button of myth, hit an icy sec-
tion of the road, lost control
and went, off the west edge of
the road and hit a snowbank. He
was not injured, and his vehicle
was damaged to the extent of
$300.00.
Frank J. Stamper of R.R.
#1, Bluevale was travelling west
on Highway #86 when his ve-
hicle skidded on the icy road,
left the south side of the road
and rolled over on its right side.
Mr. Stamper was not injured.
His vehicle was damaged to the
extent of $300.00.
On April '7, Mary J. Port '.er
of R.R. #1, Lucknow was trav-
elling west on Highway #86 and
was struck on the left side by
an unknown vehicle. Damage to
her car were estimated at
$200.00.
On April 8, Patsy A. Friar
of Paisley and Ian M. Grant of
R.R. #1, Formosa were involved
in a motor vehicle accident on
Highway #9, west of the Huron-
Bruce County Line. There were
no injuries, and damages to both
vehicles were estimated at $820.
On March 27, Ralph. Carere
of Guelph in an attempt to avoid
a collision with another vehicle
On Highway #86, swerved .to the.
right and collided with a„spow.
bank on: the north side of the
highway, then swerved back,
across the hi&hway and came to

Damages to his vehicle were
estimated at $200.00.
