MURDER IN DAKOTA. .t Terser Resident et Mama tae nietl — Taw ■orderer a t'aaediaa. On Tuesday evening some one on the incoming train told Sheriff John K Hag- gart that a murder had been committed at Wheatland, James McAdams being the victim. About 11 o'clock that night he started for the scene of the murder. and sometime in the night he suoceeded ip arresting the accused parties, four in number, named respectively Mitchell Hadwin, Edward McDonough. e McConn, Wm. ,Ctn- er Ebermag held an inquest jesterday, and it appears from the evidence given before him that THE MURDERED MAE, the four accused and several others we_e in a saloon, and all more or less under the intluelce of liquor when a quarrel was started between McAdams and the other parties. They passed out into the street, where McAdams and the two Mc- Donoughs got to fighting, when Hadwin rushed in and took part against McAd- ams, while McConn stood by flourishing a revolver and threat g to shoot any- one who should interfere. Hadwin is said to have struck McAdams: several times and then got up and left him. His friends carried hint home where he died in a few minutes. The following is the VERDECT OF. THE couoNeA a JURY.
