was taken and dedicated by Mrs.
L. Gedkin. "Nearer my God to
Thee'was, sung and. Mrs. L. Godkin
gave a reading "Come up for

The Topic was taken by Mrs.
D. Watson on Dr. Syd Gilcrest
Who was a missionary in Africa.
Mrs. L. Godkin closed with
prayer.
Mrs. J. Burch opened the
business with a rea.ding on"Feb-
ruary". Minutes were read by
the secretary, Mrs. G. McNichol
followed by the roll call which
was answered by weights or
money in the Bible. A thank-you
card was read from Mrs. H.
Wilson. Plans were made for The
World Day of prayer and the.
Thank-offering meeting to be held
in April was discussed, Mrs. J.
Burch gave a report on the
Presbyterial meeting she had
Attended in Stratford. Mrs. N.
Schade made a motion that the
Memorial Fund be spent on the
New Hymn Books, this was see-
onded by Mrs. C, WeY.
Lunch was served by the
hostess Mrs. Wm. Roe, assisted
by Mrs. M. Dennis, Mrs. J.
Burch and Mrs. D. Dennis.
17th AND BOUNDARY UNIT
Mrs. Helen Williamson was
hostess for the 17th and Boundary
Unit at her home on Wednesday
afternoon, February 16. The
ladies worked on a quilt during
the afternoon and later this was
completed.
Mrs. J. Van Vliet Sr. opened
the meeting with the Thought for
the Day. "In Christ there is
no East or West" with Mrs.
M. Haan as pianist, was sung
and Mrs. Van Vliet read the
Scripture from Luke 18:1-20,
followed by a poem "The Will
of God".
Mrs. James Williamson chose
for the Topic, "Over Dose" by
Billy Graham, a story of a girl
on drugs, and also a short story
on "Our Holy Father" . The
collection was taken and dedi-
cated by Mrs. Van Vliet.
Mrs. Harvey Craig took
the chair for the business. Mrs.
J. Bos read the minutes and cor-
respondence. The Roll Call was
answered by the exchange of Val-
entines. There were 10 members
and 1 visitor present. Business
was attended to. Mrs. M. Baan
reported on the Presbyterial in
Stratford. Mrs. Van Vliet read a
poem "Are you an active mem-
ber". "Just as I am" was sung
and Mrs. Van Vliet closed the
meeting with prayer.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Helen Williamson and Mrs.
James Williamson.
EUCHRE PARTY HELD
On Friday evening 15 tables
were in play at the Institute
euchre. Prizes were won byJoan
Simpson, Brussels for high lady,
low, Mrs. T. Dundas. High man,
Gordon Murray, low, Jim. McDon-
ald, lucky cup, Mrs. Jack Bos-
man.
Lunch was served by the com-
mittee in charge, Mrs. Murray
Smith, Mrs. Ear Watson, Mrs.
Jura Fritz and Mrs. Mac Shol-
dice.

spent a couple of days this past

a patient in the Wingharn Hos-
pital for the past week following
a snowmobile accident when he
required several stitches.

WALTON 4-H MEETINGS.
WALTON I
Walton I 4-H Club met at
the home of Mrs. Allan Searle
on February 15 with seven mem-
bers present.
Officers elected are: Presi-
dent, Susan Humphries; Vice -
President, Anne Watson; Secre-
tary, Rotating; Press Secretary,
Rotating.
Mrs. Searle and Mrs. Watson
told what had to be put in the
sewing boxes and what the intro-
ductory page should include. Dis-
cussion led into the choosing of
sleepwear, style, comfort and
choosing the pattern, also choos-
ing the fabrics and the quality
of material.
. WALTON II
The second meeting of Walton
II was held at the home of Mrs.
Don Nolan on Saturday. Eight
girls answered the roll call.
The leaders gave out instruc-
tions and hand out sheets to be
filled in.
St. Ambrose
Society Has
Meeting
Mrs. Ben Terpstra, newly
elected president, was in charge
when the St. Ambrose Altar Soc-
iety met on February 16th in the
church basement.
Mrs. Larry Martin of Kitch-
ener was the winner of the draw
for the Tupperware Cannister
Set.
Some discussion was held and
plans were Made for the World
I Day of Prayer to take place this
year in St, Ambrose Church on
March ard,
A card party is slated for
Monday, March 20th, in the Par-
ish Hall.
The Meeting closed with lunch
