The weather man once more
smiled on the curlers of Brus-
sels and district when the annual
mixed spiel was, held on Wedr
nesday of last week in the Brus-
sels arena. This year the open
mixed was sponsored by the
Brussels Curling Club with
TopnOtch Feed Ltd. co-operating
by presenting their trophy to the
team with the highest standing
for the day.
Prizes for the 9 A.M. draw
Went to: first, Dr. Alexander,
Barb Dunbar, 3. W. Smith and
Pauline Bennett, 3 wins plus 11;
second, Ike Rann and rink, g wins
plus 0; third, Don MdDonald and
rink, 2 wins plus 5. Consolation
Lorne Hay and rink, Hensall.
Ross Veitch and his rink won
the 11 A.M. draw, also the Top-
notch trophy for the high score
of the day. First, Ross. Veitch,
Doris. McDonald, Don. Fraser and
Melva Fraser, 3 wins plus 16;
second, Max Oldfield and rink,
2 wins plus 16; third, Ken Bray
and rink, 2 wins phis 10. Con-
