The Women's Institutes have done a wonderful work over the years. They have improved the abilities of women, especially in rural areas, in many fields. They sponsor courses for girls in 4-11 Homemaking Clubs that better fit them for homemakers and citizens. Happy anniversary to them and may they continue their work here, and elsewhere for many years to come. *** *** *** *** Congratulations to our young Brussels Hockey players in their tournament with Garden City Boys. They held their own with Garden City teams and Brussels teams each scoring 10 points. ***, **** Brussels council once more haS requested that all snowmobile operators co-operate • in keeping off main street sidewalks before some person gets seriously in- jured. There have been a number of cloie calls when people have stepped out of doorways directly into the path of a snowmobile. A word to the wise should be suf- ficient. Attention is also directed to the fact that it is illegal for anyone under the age of sixteen to operate a snowmobile and parents are liable if they have an accident.
