There were 10 tables in play
at the recent card party held in
the Oddfellow's Hall.
Prize winners were: High
lady, Mrs. D. A. Rann; low lady,
Mrs. W. C. Kerr; High man,
Jim Bowman, low man, Clarence

The special draw for a ham
was won by Mrs. George. Evans.
Lunch, served by the com-
mittee in charge, brought a pleas-
ant evening to a close.

few days with Mr. and Mrs. Alf
Sutton in Brampton.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ellis
left this past week to spend
some time in Florida.

Eight tables were in play at
the• card party in St. Ambrose
parish hall Monday night.
Those receiving prizes were
Mrs. Eldon Wilson, Joseph Co-
oper and Ben Terpstra.
Duff's United Church, Walton,
was the-setting for the marriage
of Agnes Anne Achilles and Jam es
F. Sills which took place on
January 14th, 1972 at 7 P.M. with
the Rev. D. Docken officiating.
The Church was decorated with
gold candelabra , shasta daisies
and memie carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Achilles,
Walton, are the bride's parents.
The groom is the son of Mr. and
'Mrs. Frank Sills, Seaforth, Ont.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a slender
sheath line gown of new chrystal-
ette peau-soie with matching
covered buttons down the front,
high Victorian neckline trimmed
with French lace with double-
layer long pure silk illusion veil
trimmed with matching lace. She
carried red roses and shasta
daisies.

Mrs. Marg. Taylor, •Lucknow,
was the maid of honor and the
bridesmaids were Miss Anne
Sills, Goderich and Mrs. Barb.
Holzworth, Palmerston. Debbie
Achilles was 'the flower girl.
They were dressed alike in red
velvet Empire.,styled long gowns
and carried, whAte, shasta daisies,
and memie carnations.
The grOOmsman was Ben Van
den Akker, Oil' Springs. Guests
were ushered by Ken Devereaux,
London and Don Achilles, Walton.
Danny Achilles was the ring-
bearer.
wedding music was by Mrs.
Ian Wilbee, organist, and Don
McDonald, soloist.
Following the wedding a dance
and buffet dinner was held
at the Brussels Legion.
For their wedding trip to
the Southern States the bride
travelled in a two-piece turquoise
and grey dress with black acces-
sories.
The couple will reside in
Seaforth.
Guests were present from
Ithaca, New York, Hearst, Hawk
Junction, Guelph, Fergus, Goder-
ich and Toronto.

Mr, and Mrs, Ed. Morrow
who have resided in Ethel the
last two and a half years, have
moved to Listowel and are now
living on Davidson Ave. S.,
M. Hyde, manager of the
local branch of the Canadian
Imperial Bank of Commerce has
purchased the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Callander, Turn-
berry Street South, in. Brussels.
Mrs. V. Tunney is a patient
in. Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Vociden
of London were Sunday visitors
with her mother, Mrs. James
Kerr and also visited with Mr.
Kerr who is a patient in Wing-
ham and District Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. 'y W, Smith
were recent visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Lahn in Hanover.

Commencing the first water billing in Feb-
ruary, 1972, the discount of 10% will be dis-
continued and a penalty of 5% will be add-
ed on all accounts not paid by due date. The
new rate will be $2.00 per month for residen-
tial, $1.40 per month small commercial and
$2.80 per month for non-resident and large
commercial.
