Get those kilts out of moth
balls. Bring out the Scotch
shawls and jewellery. The
Brussels Branch of the Canadian
Legion are holding their High-
land Ball on Saturday, January
29th. Music for dancing will be
by the Tru-Tones. We doubt not
that the skirl of the pipes will be
heard, the kilts will swirl, and
a good time will be had by all.

An important meeting of the
Brussels Council and officials of
the Ontario Water Resources
Commission is to be held at the
Municipal Office on Monday, Jan-
uary 31st when sewage facilities
for this village will be under dis-
cussion. Some solution to the
problem of pollution entering the
Maitland River at Brussels has
to be found. This matter is of
grave concern to our residents.
The cost of a municipal sewage
system, which has been proposed,
'would create a haildstip for many
residents who are living on pen-
sions and others on reduced in-
comes. It is to be hoped that
an alternative, less expensive,
solution can be arrived at.

This office has been flooded
with inquiries as to the names
of the young ladies in the picture
of the Polar Daize Queen con-
testants which appeared in the
last edition of The Post. They
were from left to right; Joan
Elliott, Debbie McCall, LoriMc-
Cuteheon and Bonnie Pennington.
We have also been asked for
names of thbse appearing in other
pictures. It seems people want
pictures with name attached.
