The morning session began with coffee, followed by Call to Worship and the Invocation by Mrs. Mundell. Organ music by Mrs. Donald Robertson, Wing- ham accompanied Psalm 56, and devotions based on Luke 8:1-15 were conducted by Mrs. Harvey Robertson, Mrs. Harry Elliott, and Mrs. Burns Moffatt of Blue- vale. A welcome was extended by Mrs. Robt. McKague, Wing- ham, Minutes and Roll Call were in charge of Mrs. W. D. Camp- bell, Molesworth, followed by 'the reports of the various sec- retaries. The morning session concluded with a period of sil- ent, individual prayer following a special appeal from the Pres- ident for all groups to pray this year for specific needs, not wants, and to be guided in these prayers by the things that have 'happened to us during the past year, referring to the fact that prayer is our great, untapped resource. Following lunch the afternoon session was launched with' Hymn 373,. and devotions by the Luck- now Evening Auxiliary. Those participating were Mrs. Ross Gammie, Mrs. Jack MacDonald, and Mrs. Frank Hawthorne, using St. Matthew 15:1-20, and Acts 5:1-11. An insight into missionary work in Africa was contributed by the guest speaker, Mrs. E. Harbottle who was introduced by Mrs. E. Beard, Wingham. as a teacher and wife of a mission- ary who has spent twenty years in Africa's Sudan Interior Mission, and who is now home on furlough and living in Molesworth. The use of slides and an attractive display of articles from that land com- pleted her descriptions of per- sonal experiences and varied events. It was evident that the missionaries are non-mater- ialistic individuals, sacrificial, hard-working, patient, and tha.nk- ful for small blessings. Wouldn't working for eighteen years before 1.
