Christmas Meeting Of
8th and 16th U.C.W. Unit
The 8th and 16th Unit held
their Christmas meeting and Cop-
per Contest supper at tile home of
Mrs. Jim Fritz on Wednesday
evening. Following the supper,
Mrs. Ken McDonald opened the
devotional period with the Call
to Worship. Hymn 59, Hark the
Herald Angels Sing was sung.
Mrs. Ken McDonald read a Christ-
mas reading followed by prayer.
Hymn 62 was sung. The Topic
"Wby the chimes Rang" was
given by Mrs. Jim Smith. Mrs. K.
McDonald read a poem, "Christ in
Christmas". Hymn 53 "Silent
Night" closed the devotions. Mrs.
Don McDonald conducted the bus-
iness. The minutes of the last
meeting were read by the secre,
tary and the roll call was answer-
ed by 14 members and there was
one visitor present. Mrs. George
McCall gave a report of Centre
Regional Convention. A letter
from Mr. Roth, Mission. Services
of London, was read and a thank
you card. The annual congregat-
ional meeting is set for January
24th. Collecting was done for the
Bible Society. Sunday, December
19th is the annual Christmas
Service, folloWed with lunch, the
8th a.nd 16th Unit to tidy up. The
regular collection was received.

of Duff United Church With 25

the Call to Worship, followed by
singing hymn "Away in a Mang-

secretary's report and Patti Mc-
Donald the treasurer's report. The
