The House of Commons Standing Committee
on
TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS
This Committee will visit South Western Ontario during the
last week of January 1972 for the purpose of inquirin !into the
adequacy of the rail or substitute passenger service in that area.
It cis intended to hold public hearings in the following places at
the times indicated.
TILLSONBURG, ONT., Monday, January 24, 1972
Council Chambers 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
CHATHAM, ONT., Tuesday, January 25th, 1972
William Pitt Hotel (Marina Room) 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
STRATFORD, ONT., Wednesday, January 25, 1972
Victoria Inn (Victoria Room) 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
WALKERTON, ONT., Thursday, January 27, 1972
Hartley House (Bruce Room) 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Organizations or individuals who wish to make presentations
to the Committee and or submit a brief on the passenger service
are asked to inform the Clerk of the Committee as soon as
possible.
They are also requested to forward 40 cop:es, if possible, to the
Clerk for distribution to CoMmittee members prior to January
15, 1972. In the event that individuals do not have facilities for
providing multiple copies, a single, copy will suffice,

Miss Carolyn Fraser, London,
spent the weekend at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doug
Fraser.
The Junior Girls of the Lost
and Found group helped with the
program at Huronview. Those
taking part were Patti McDonald,
Jane f,eerning, Mary Searle and
Susan Murray in a one act play;
piano solos by Sandra Dennis and
Susan Murray. Quintette by Jen-
nifer Kirkby, Ruth Thamer, Mary
Watson and Carolyn McClure and
Beth McNichol gave several mus-
ical selections. They were under
the leadership of Mrs. D. Docken.
Mr and Mrs Ray Huether,
Steven and John attended the Pee
Wee hockey games in Garden
City, Mich., on Saturday, when
Steven and John participated in
the games. Then visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Saunders, Royal
Oak, Mich„ on. Sunday.
Miss Nanpy Saunders, Kitch-
ener, visited over the weekend.
with Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Smith
and Gerald Smith.
On Sunday, December 19th the
annual Christmas Service will be
held beginning with a carol hymn-
sing. Lunch will be served in the
basement.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil McGavin and
Brian attended the hockey games
on Saturday in Garden City, Brian
participated in one of the games.
Mrs. Archie Greig and daughter
Penny of Toronto spent the week-
end with Mr. and. Mrs. Fred Dunk.
Couple Honored On
25th Anniveresary
Mr, and Mrs. George McCall
were guests at a dinner party at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. John A.
Perrie on Friday evening when
relatives gathereed to honor them
on their 25th Wedding Anniver-
sary on December 14th. They have
one son, Bill, who was present for
the occasion. AmOng . relatives
present were, Mr, and. Mrs. Harry
Snell, Londeshoro, Mr. and Mrs.
Archie Voting Mr. and . Mrs. Jim
McCall and Susan of Myth and
Mr. and Mrs, Allan McCall,
Walton. Gifts were presented to
the couple and the evening was
spent visiting and playing cards.
