J1c4,uatele, of Wmghen►, Moderator, iu the chair. The attendance was Targe, 19 ministers being present and also a number of re- presentatives, elders and lay -delegates. A petition from the uthce-bearers of Knox Church, Lucknow, asking the presbytery to reverse a former decision affecting the interests of the congrega- tion was, read ant on motion rejected, as asking what the presbytery was in competent to do, allowing the commiss- ioners,, however, the privilege id stating their views before the court. The cony. missioners declined to speak, and Pave notice of appeal to the Synod of London and Hamilton. Rev. Mr. Sutherland, of Ripley, submitted a report with re- ference to the requisition of the eotagire- gatioll of South Kinkw, Meting that a communion roll hal been formed with 59 names, that 4 elders hail heeu dully elected, and the sacr.uneut of the Lord $ upper di.pensod. Mr. Murray, .4 KM- cardine, spoke on the object of prayer meetings and proved in.* very practical manner the real object of these religious serviosa The best method of conduct - mg prayer meetings, was taken up by Rev. Mr. Anderson, of Whitechurch. In a very pleasant uneasier be spoke on six necemary. steps to be taken before a prayer meeting could beaumiessfully car- ried on. After a short discussion on the above subject this very interesting service was closed by singing and prayer. On Wednesday morning the Fordyce case was considered at length, and the sanction of the presbytery• given to the building of a church on the site selected by the conJregstion. Against this de- cision Rev. T. J. Wilkins, of Belgrave, appealed, and tabled reasons therefor. Instructions were issued by the presby- tery as to en equitable division of church property between tjie congregatiuus of south Kinloss and Knox church, Luck - now, action to be taken within a month from date. It was unanimously agreed to hold a public meeting on the first evening of each regular meeting of the court.
