Achievement Day: The achievement day for the fall project "Dairy Fare" was held at the Clinton high school on Saturday with two girls from Walton clubs receiving their county honours which is a com- pletion of six clubs in 441, home- ,making. They were Gail Traviss and Heather McDonald. The morning activities included the judging with all girls taking part and in the afternoon, Insti- tute mothers and guests were present for the program. Pegelow • ONTARIO SCHOOL BOARDS RECEIVE ALLOCATIONS 'UNDER INCENTIVE PROGRAM Ontario's school boards have been allocated $4,270,100 under the Provincial-Municipal Frog-ram, Education Minister Robert Welch has announced. Of the amount $1,459,150 has been allocated to Metro Toronto .and will be distributed among the. borough schools and the Metro- politan Separate School 'Board. Allocations to the counties and districts were made by the DepartMent of Mimicipal Affairs and are based on the welfare caseload within them. School boards must submit their projects to the Municipal Affair's Department ror approval and they are subfect to the same conditions that apply to municipal projects, Projects approved under the prograrn will require an ex-, penditure of $100 in wages for', every $25 spent for materials and supervision. The funds may ue used for • painting school buildings, clean- up of school properties, snow removal, ground leveling, invent. ory programs and other inainten- ance workS. The program. covers schoel boards across Ontario, including smaller boards in the unorganized districts of Northern Ontario.
