W. I. Meeting
The Walton Women's Institute
meeting was held in the Commun-
ity Hall on Wednesday evening,
October 2.
The president, Mrs. Gerald Wat-
son, opened the meeting in the us-
ual manner with the Institute
Ode, the Mary Stewart CoBeet and
0 Canada. Mrs. Herb Traviss was
pianist for the evening. Citizen-

Mrs, Williamson and Mrs. H.
Traviss were on for the program.
'Mrs. Williamson read a poem en-
titled "Auction •Sale", then intre-
duced her daughter, Miss Eileen
Williamson who showed very in-
teresting pictutes and spoke of,
her trip to beautiful B.C. through
Alaska, ,taking in :the Yukon
Territories! Dawson and White-
horSe; travelling by car and boat.
Mrs. TtaViSs thanked Eileen and
presented her with a "gift on he-,
half of the Institute. Mrs. Jan*Vaiti
Vliet Jr; was auctioneer for a •
display of hate; each Menthe"' wore

ald, delegates who attended the
Rally in Ethel, gave their report.
CorreSpondence was attended to.

the, gifts to the Cancer Cupboard
given at the last meeting. The
Achievement Day for the "Dairy
Pare" project is to he held on Sat-
arday, N,ovember 20th. The
Bazaar at Huron view. Clinton
will be held on November 10th,
at 2 p.m.. The Institute are to put

Needcraft course is announced to
be held in Brussels on November
23 and 24. Invitations were read
from Molesworth Institute when
a celebration for the 75th Anniver-
sary will be held in the Kurtz-
ville hall on Noveniber 5. Seaforth
institute on November 9th at 8:15
at the Orange Hall and Bluevale
Institute :on November 1:09h. Fur-
ther plans 'wore made for the
Historical Society meeting to be
held in the Walton" Hall, each
member .,is, requested to bring
articles for ths) antinne table,
