Reception Honors Newlyweds A reception and dance was held in the Walton Community Hall on Friday evening for the recent newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Shortreed, (nee Judy King). Mission Band The Mission Band held their October meeting in the basement of the church on Sunday morning with Doug Mitchell giving the Call to Worship. A hymn was 'sung ac- companied by Debbie Wey on her guitar. A film "Bernarda" was shown. It was on a little boy in Africa. The treasurer's report was given by Dianne Dennis and Joyce McCallum. gave the sec- retory's report. There were 29 in attendance. The special offer- ing was taken for UNICEF. The members are reminded to bring white gift to be sent to the Children's Aid Society in Goder- ich for their next Meeting and the mite boxes are to be brought to the December meeting. Unlit Meeting The October meeting of the 8th and 15th Unit was held at the home of Mrs. .TimMcDonald, Mon- day evening, October 11th.
