The Christian Women's Club
et south Huron• provided a song
service for the residents on .Sun-
day evening. There were vocal
duet numbers by Cecilia and
Cathy Hall, ar reading by Mrs,
Russell Brrat anti group singing;
led by Mrs. Luther. The folks at
Hurenview are counting on a vosit
from the Women's Club on the
second Sunday evening of each
month.
Nine tables of games were•
tilriye.d. in the auditorium: on. Wed-
nesday afternoon. Mrs. Johnston
had high score for the ladies
and Mark- Sproat was high man.
Consolation prize winners were
Norma Muir and John Rivett.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Laurie. Blyth.
arranged the musical entertain-

of their recent trin to England

The W.M.S. of Melville Church
met at the manse on Friday after-
noon with Mrs. King convening
the meeting-. A. Thanksgiving
poem wa s read by Mrs. King and
a hymn was sung.
The devotional part of the meet-
ing followed when the psalm 100
and part of 103 were read in 'uni-
son and a Thanksgiving prayer
and meditation was given by Mrs.
Mer in.
Secretary, financial and sun-
shine reports were enumerated
and the roll call consisted of a
verse on Thanksgiving, Mrs.
Smith read a letter from Lillian
Dickson, who is our missionary
in Taipei, Taiwan, - She, with a
group of Native evangelists are
carrying the 'Gospel to Borneo and
island s of the South Pacific •

where the gospel has never been
heard.
• After singing a hymn Mrs,
Steiss brought the meessage on
Thanksgiving based on the. 103
psalm with many thoughts of
gratitude for a wonderfud Christ.

In the business part of the
meeting a letter was read from
the Secretary of the Presbyterial
requesting our auxiliary to pro.
vide the Scripture reading and
meditation for the Sectional meet-
ing to he held in Molesworth on
October 11th. Mrs. W. Smith and
Mrs. Steiss were appointed for
this service. The offering was re-
ceived and dedicated and the
meeting closed with the Mizpah
penediction.
McCarrell and helpers
served a cup of tea and a. social
hour was enjoyed.
