Miss Elizabeth Dickson at their cottage at Poplar Beach near Kin- cardine. The boys remained for a few days holidays, Mr. •and Mrs. Wolfgang Stutz, Waterloo, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Torrance Dundas, Frank Kirkby is a patient in Seaforth Community Hospital. Mr. and -Mrs. Jim McNeil Ter- esa and Paula, Hanover visited the latter's mother, Mrs. Tom Kirkby, Mr. and Mrs. StewartHumph- hries visited with Mrs. Margaret HumphrieS, Clinton. Michelle Beuerman returned to her home•in Goderich on Sunday after •spending the past two weeks with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Shortreed. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Kirkby spent a few days holidaying in the Niagara Peninsula, Dr. and Mrs. Roy Wilbee and' family, who have, been here on holidays from the west, visited Mr. and Mrs. tan Wilbee and other relatives in the area. Gordon Mitchell left for Con- estoga College on Monday, where he begins an eight week course at the Technical College. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Craig have moved to their farm, formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Waiter Davidson. Mr. and Mrs. Graeme Craig, newlyweds, have taken over the home farm. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mills spent several days holidaying with Drs. Jean and Gerd Westermann at Burlinton and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Mills and family at Brampton.' Darlene Gulutzen, daughter. of Mr. and Mrs, Alex Gulutzen Jr., had the misfOrtne to fracture her arm in a fall in the barn on the farm of her gra.ndparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gulutzen. Sr. She is re- ported to be "coming along nicely ,and expects to be able to leave Seaforth Community Hospital in another week. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Smith, Kevin and Laurie ,spent, a few days holidaying in the Brace- bridge area and also toured. Santa's village. Miss•Linda Traviss, Guelph and Roy Gingerich, Xitchener, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Traviss. The Queen will be chosen Thursday night, September 23 and will reign for the Fair. She, will he eligible to compete at the 1972 Canadian National Exhibition Contest for Queen of Ontario Pairs. No special talent is required to enter and contestants are asked to be in casual apparrel. All entries must be in by Sept- ember 19. Those entering are re- quired to contact either Mrs. Robt. Stratford Wins The Brussels Invitational Softbtll Tournarneint Despite the threating overcast and ,intermittent rain on Satur7 day, favoura.ble weather Sunday brought good numbers of fans to all games on Sunday and made the 13russels Invitational Softball tournament a success and provid- ed plenty of exciting entertain- ment for the spectators. Stratford combined fine pitch- ing and fielding throughout to win the tournament They allowed, just three runs on eight hits' while scoring 19 runs on 22 hits. Their closest game was the first one when they were held to five hits by the pitching of Murray McDonald of Brussels. Stratford pitcher struck out a total of 31 batters during their three games.
