LET US STOP THIS UNSIGHTLY LITTERING • Parents should caution their youngsters in regard to pollution and littering. Some boys were observed throwing bottles in the river and smashing them with stones. There has been an effort to clean up the river, at consider- cost, and this thoughtless be- haviour is uncalled for. They might also explain to them that the littering of streets and boulevards with candy and gum wrappers, boxes and bags etc., makes our village an unsightly spectacle. With our centennial coming next year it would be most pleasing to have our streets free of such debris making Brus- sels not only "The prettiest village" but also the cleanest.
