The April meeting wg•S held at
the home of Mrs. Jan van Vliet
Jr. on Wednesday evening, April
7th. Mrs. George McCall opened
the meeting with a. poem "Say It"
followed by singing hymn 107, and
the Lord's Prayer repeated in
unison. Mrs. McCall read the
scripture from 'Matthew Chapter
28. The topic "The Risen Chtist
and :Harsh Reality" yas taken by
Mrs. Doug Fraser. Hymn 105 was
sung. A poem ''.Marking Time...
was road by Mrs. McCall. Mrs.
Don McDonald was in charge of
the business portion opening with
a historical article on crucifixion,
Announcements were made. The
Walton 'Chit Bazaar is to be held.
WedneSday evening, The Thank-
offering service is April 25th, with
Mrs. S. Miner of Exeter to be the
guest speaker. All Units of the
1.7.0„W. are to meet at the church
the 1st Wednesday in May at 7
p.m. for a pot luck supper With
the 5th and 16th unit to serve. We
are to cater to a. Presbytety din-
ner at Walton April 27th at noon.
Rural Life Service is Set. for Nay
16th with lunch after. The min-
utes of the last meeting were read
by the secretary and the roll call
was answered try 1.1. members.

The fifth meeting of the Walton
I 'Sewing Savers" club was held
on Monday evening at the home of
Margaret Shortreed, '111)0 presi-
dent opened With the 4-H pledge
followed by the secretary's repott.
Next meeting to be next Monday
at 7:30 at Searl4s. Joan Bennett
to take lunch. The discussion Was
where to wear slacks anti where
