PREPARE NOW FOR
FAMILY SAFETY
Planning a. 01'0 . in your home?
Of course not! But why not take
a lesson from the Boy: Scouts and
"Be Prepared".
Every room in your -house
should have an alternate exit,
avoiding hallways which store
deadly heat. and gases during a
fire, l'otir bedroom. door seems
like the best 'way out, but if it's
warm to the touch i'ts too hot to
handle on the other side.
The Ontario Safety League
says e "If you have an escape plan
and never need to use it, you lose
nothing. Bet mix a fire with no
plan of escape and you can lose.
everything%"
Be prepared for tomorrow. Plea
your escape. today. "
Draw.a plan of your home and
mark alternate exits from every
room. Avoid, -hallways and stair-
ways,. remember, during a fire
they act as chimneys, effectively
trapping super-heated and deadly
gases. • And decide‘ MI a. meeting
place ontside where all family
members can' gather and be ac-
counted for.
Practice makes perfect, so hitive
regular fire drills. Then if you do
have a fire, you'll be ready.

- GOLDEN WORDS
, YOU'RE MY GUEST
IN THOUGHT
Once 'a day, and sometimes more,
You knock upon my daydream

Then we sit down and have a

Forces me away from you ---
ReluctantlY I say good-bye,

But what really can't change
My dreams and wishes can

And through my wishing you'll be
