me at cards.
I hen a couple or three calls re-
gards the outcome of the last
game of euchre, Legion versus
Club. We won of course but I
would not count. it as there ware
no Legion members present ex-
cept Lamont,-Stu Humphries " and
John Alcock. We gave them eight,
or rather they took eight or 141 of
out good players. Wiff, Warwick
was the top man hut John Clark
had the most points: The count
being wrong. Many thanks to W,
Noll and friends from Walkerton.
No date has been set for the next
clash or circus or whatever you
wish to name it. Art Henry Came
dewn for a game Monday and is
unable to get, back after: seven
days.
Well, guess that's It and once
more I repeat good luck and many
thanks to all fellows with snow-
mobiles.

THE ABILITY FUND
HELPS PEOPLE TO
HELP THEMSELVES.
February 1971 has been chosen
month for 'publicity preceding the
annual mail campaign to raise
funds for the Ability Fund (form-
erly the March or DimeS).
The Ability Fund is the name
of •the campaign of the Rehabil-
itation Foundation for the Dis-
abled which was founded in 'Ont-
ario in 1951.
Its prime concern is rehabilitat.
ing disabled adults, that is, help-
ing them to join or rejoin the
community as productive, rea
atively self-sufficient and happy-
parts of it. Finding suitable work
for disabled adults is one of its
principal activities.
The foundation has eleven
workshops in different parts of
the province, where disabled
persons are trained in certain

A contribution to the Ability
Fund is an assist to disabled
adtdts, to help them to live useful
and satisfactory
Jan Onuluk of Richmond Hill,
Ont., is supervisor in a plant
making electrical and electronic
components, At the age of 16, he
was Struck by arthritis. To-day
at the age of 34 he is still erippl7
eel but has a wife, it seven year-
old son and a nice home — and a
good job -- thanks to assistance
from the Ability Fund. In speak-
ing of his pleasure in his Work he
said. "They are not interested in
what you CANfT do, only 'in what
yon CAN do."
Mrs.' Margaret Collins of Pem-
broke. Chief Marching Mother for
the Ontario Ability Fund was born
with no left hand, For the past 15
years, she has been, a canvasser.
Site helps to cater for weddings,
lunches and brazen-lets; acid likes
to bowl, play darts, horse shoes
and read.
She has a husband and four
children the eldest, of Whotil is
attending Ottawa university.
"The Ability Fund ", she says
"exists only to help to eive a
start to disabled adults' like me
who need it. I'M very pleased to
