and quietly. Mrs. Reid told of a
few specific -girls from Ontario
who had the privilege of being
able to visit one of these count-
ries with help from their. church,
parents a nd even baby sitting
money to provide transportation.
These girls commented how. 'just
seeing the surroundings, con-
ditions, and watching the mission-
aries at work make them grow up
within din's. Poverty .anti filth
would shock you. There is so
much common ignorance toward
healthy living, but yet they are
warm and friendly people, -proud,.
of their church. The need for
teachers is desperate. Our Mis-
sionaries state to us in letters„ if
we tell you the needs and You do-
something about it, "It will mean
so much". The president, Mrs.
Gerald Watson in keeping with
"Remembrance" opened the bus-
dness period with the reading of
"Lest We Forget", She extended
thanks to everyone, taking part
in the evening devotions, and
also those that helped at the
Fowl Supper. The minutes were
read by the secrtary, Mrs. W. C.

The 81111 and• 10th Unit held
their November meeting- at the,
manse, Tuesday evening, Nov. 10.
-Mrs. Ray Houston opened the
meeting with the Call to Worship.
Hymn 286 was sung. The Script-
ure from Matthew 5: 38-48 and
Meditations were read by Mrs.
Houston, who also led in prayer
and read the Beatitudes and de-
scription of illustrations, which
was taken from the 1971 Church
Callender. The topic the 7th and
Sth Beatitudes was taken by Mrs.
Fritz.A hymn was sung fol-
