WMS Evening Group
The October meeting of the
Evening, Group of the WMS was
held at the home of Mrs. Leslie
:Knight with the Preeident, Mrs.
Jack. Knight presiding. A, poem
"Thanksgiving" was read by
Mrs. Gordon Engel, and a prayer
by Mrs. Stewart Steisa. Hymn 692
was sung, and the. Scripture read-
ing was from Psalm 145. A medi-
tation "Blessings of the Seasons"
was read by Mrs. Steiss. The
usual basiness consisting'of min-
utes, offering, and correspondence
Was taken care of, Also announde-
ment was made of a meeting on
Nov. 3- at the home of Mrs. Lylle
Gordon 'when the Presbyterial
visitor, Mrs. .Tas. McNeil, Ativood,
will be present. Mrs. Leslie
'Knight read a poem and Mrs.
Gordon Angel gave the topic "God
gives gopd things". The meeting
was brought to a close with a
hymn and the Benediction. Mrs.
Jim Kuiht and Mrs. Stewart,
Steiss assisted with lunch.
Melville 'Guild. Meeting •
Jean Exel reed the call to
worship for the fall meeting pt:the
Guild..flymn 449 was sung'. Brian
Armstrong favoured. with a piano
solo. The scripture reading was
from. Psalm 42.; 1-8 and Nancy
McLean led in prayer. Everyone
enjoyed a piano duet by Brian
and Leona Armstrong. "And the
little children. shall lead them"
from My Windows by Shirley
Keller was read by Joan Exel,
Leona Armstrong: gave the topic
on The Common Heart and a very
worth while poem:
