from Clinton. His name is Bell
and he is •in Grade Seven.
In Boys' 'Soccer the standings.

goals each. In Girl's Soccer the standings
are; let: teams 1 and 3 are tied.

place is Linda Mair's team and
in 3rd place is Janet Cardiff's.
The Brussels Public School
soccer teams of Bop and girli•

The Public School is holding a
dance on October 30 if someone's
parents will volunteer to chapel--
one. It -will be a masquerade
dance. Those not dressed will pay

Hall Board Meeting
The Hall Board of Whet Com-
munity Centre held a meeting at
the home of Mrs. Bert Godden on
Friday,., Oct. 16th. It was decided
to •start the' Euchres on Nov. 5th
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conley as
Conveners. There :Will also be a
Masquerade dance Oct. 30th for
everyone . in the Community
Centre. A new chairman will ba
apPointed 't owing to the resig-
nation of John Conley who has
moved from the ,community. • A
new secretary will also be named.

The October . meeting of the
Ethel . U:C.W. was held, at the
home. Of Mrs. W. Dobson on'
Thursday, October 15th. The
Worship service was taken by
Mrs. A..Pearson On 'Thanksgiving.

Two carloads of Lions conduct-
ed a Bingo for the residents of
the 'Goderich Ontario. Hospital.
A committee was appointed to
consider participating in the
Lions High. School Public speak,
ing competitions.
Assistance to the Legion in
their sponsoring of Minor Hockey
was under discussion.
The feasibility of having a
Winter Carnival here at the end
of January was .considered.'

Oct. 22nd, "Furniture Facts".
Quite 'a number of ladies are
going. The Bazaar Committees
were formed for Nov. 18th, when
we will' entertain other Institutes
and the public at a meeting and
Bazaar. The guest for the even-
ing, Mrs. Blantyre demonstrated
her many crafts. It was much en-
joyed by an. The meeting closed
with lunch served by Mrs< W.
Hewitt, Mrs. E. Morrow and the
hostess.

Ethel Ever-Redies was held. at
Grey Central Township School on
Oct. 5th. at 7:00 p.m.

GUIDE NEWS
The second Guide meeting of •
the new season was held at 7:30
p.m. with a game called "'Inset
the Fruit Basket". Then the Meet-
ing Came to order. After the
attendance was tal;An. Mrs.
Wigton reported on the Cord , of
Honour Meeting held lest week.
After that the Guides reviewed
the Guide Laws, promise and
motto. The carnpfike was made
up of four or five. Lori McCut-
eheon's patrol was chosen to pre-
pare next week's Catilpfire. Meet-
ing was adjourned.

Of the /03 players. Signed, 56
are from Brussels, 41 from the
township` of Morris and 12 are
from the township of Grey. 34 of
the ,p layers are Tyke age, 20 are
squirts, 24 are Pee Wee, 13 are
Bantams, 13 are Midget, and so
far only 4 Juveniles have signed
but we expect more. If you are
planning to register, please do so
immediately so we can complete
preparations.

available from any of the coaches
for the small fee 'of $3.00. Buy
them and help support Minor
Hockey.
