8th and 16th Unit
The September meeting of the
8th and 16th Unit was held at
the home of Mrs. Ken McDonald
on Wednesday evening, 'Sept,
16th. The meetig was opened
with the "Call to Worship",
Hymn 578 was sung and Mrs.
Harold Bolger led in prayer. The
scripture from. Luke 10 and an
article "Let's stop picking on the
Marthas" was read by Mrs.
Bolger. The topic "Americans
without home towns": and "In
the direction of Dreams" by
Violet Wood, • stories • of volunteer
service was taken by Mrs. Gee.
McCall, Hymn 559 was sung and
the regular collection and copper
money was received. The busin-
ess period was in charge of Mrs.
•• Doug Fraser. Minutes of the last
,meeting were read by the secre-
tary. The roll call was answered
by 13 members and there was
one visitor present. Orders were
taken for church calendars.
Observers •are also to be ordered.

d.ay, Sept. 16. Mrs. Hugh John-
ston led the Devotions keeping
in mind the Theme on "Harvest"
She opened the meeting with a
reading followed by reading in
unison. Hymn 234, was sung.
The scripture reading was taken
from Luke 10, verses 1 to 12.
Mrs. J.Tohston offered prayer.
Mrs. Cliff Ritchie gatre a most
interesting topic entitled "Time
Out Ladies" written by Dale
Wens Rogers. A poem "Making
Friends" was read by Mrs. John.
