Flower .Show Held
Mrs. James Armstrong was the
over all winner at the Annual
Flower Show of the Horticulture(
Society held in St. John"s
Anglican Church or Friday after-
noon and evening and also was
highest exhibitor in arrangements
winning in all, 51 points. Mrs.
Earl Cud:more was second with 41,
and Mrs. George. Wheeler third
with 31. The Rose special was
won by Mrs. Cudmore.
There were 24Q exhibits from
,25 exhibitors. The (plenty and
arrangements were, excellent.
The supper was attended by
about 150 people.

ing about 40 neighbours and
friends paid a surprise visit to

SIDEROAD BRIDGE
SET ON FIRE
Last Thursday night a bale of
straw was set on fire on the
bridge on the (trey Twp. side-
road, one, and quarter miles south
east of Brussels.
Several planks of the bridge
flooring were burning when Pans
Aicock was on his way home.
He was able to extinguish the
blaze on the upper side of the
flooring but summoned the Grey
township fire brigade to put opt
the flames On the under portion
of the bridge floor,

day to be vaccinated against
rabies, which has been so prev-
alent in Huron County.
