THOMpSON Margaret C, ThoraPson, 2 1, formerly of 'Brussels, died in Sea• forth community Hospital on 'Wednesday, July 29th. She was born in Grey Town- ship, the daughter of Mi.. and Mrs. John A. Perrie. She studied at the Tioyel servatory of Music at Tot onto and obtained her ARTC. She was a former organist and choir leader of Melville Presbyterian Church, Brussels and also taught, music here. She. Was tit her final year of training at the Toronto General Hosnital when taken ill and was also continuing her studies at the cotlservatory. She is survived by 'her parents, one sister, Mrs. Douglas (Jeanne) Kirkby of Walton: four brothers, David of Waterloo; William of Toronto; John and Leslie, both of Grey Township. Memorial services were hold in Melville Church, Friday, ,July 31, conducted by Rev, C. A. McCarroll and at the Nurses' Residence 'of Toronto General Hospital on Aug- ust f'.9th. conducted by Chaplains Peter Tink and Chris Wilson. The latter service was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Kirkby and Mr, and :airs. George Jutzi. birthday. In atteaciance were her two daughters, Mrs. Bridge and Mrs. Wes Wallace of Palmerston, twelve grandchildren and seven- teen oxen t-grandchildrein. The team accumulated a total of 171 .points to win the team trophy while individual trophies were Won by Maxine Watts in the Class B group and by Kenny Higgins is the claws D group, The trip was sponsored by the 13rtiasels Recreation Coninat- tee and the children were nnOer the supervision of Mr, and Mrs. M. AMBROSE CHURCH HOLD SUMMER SCHOOL Catholic parents from our com- munity were kept busy during- the week of: July 27-31' driving their children to St.. Ambrose Church: for the annual summer school in religious edacatioa. Four Sisters of St. Joseph from London worked to' give the child- reiv a deeper understanding of who God is and 'why we should hive and serve Him. Sister Joanna .Roks and Sister Louise Chechak were time guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Terpstra, while Sister Frances Walton and Sister Anne Marie Dahl also enjoyed splendid hospitality at the home 'of Mrs. John J. Kelly: Father Mo- oney was cm ,hand every day to prepare the chifdren for the re. ception of the sacraments and to celebrate Holy Mass. We sincerely hope that the Week spent with the Sisters has refined and strengthened: the faith of our children. FIRE DESTROYS HOME I ND COiNTENT Fire coinpletely gutted the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Monier, 'RR. 1, -Walton. on Sunday evening. The fire broke out just before p.nl. By the lime the Seaforth firemen arrived the fire had gain- ed such headway that it IVIS im- possible to save the two stature' brick home located on liurou County Highway 25, one-half mile west of Walton. All contents were also lost in the fire. Nothing was saved. The Thamer family were not at home When the blaze broke out.
