Mrs. Stimley Fischer was leader'

by the leader. Mrs. Wilfred
Strickler chose as her topic "Peace

Cranbrook W.I. Meeting
,hue, meeting of the Cran
brook W. I. was held at the home
of Mrs. Mac McIntosh with 17
Members and 7 guests attending.
The meeting opened in the usual
way, Mrs Vrban Duchame re-
ported on the 'District Annual held
in Belgrave. The Motto "Every
good member should grow turnips
— turn-up for meetings with a
new idea, a smile and a new
member was given by Mrs. FrnnIC
Workaign. The, girls from the two
4-H Clubs gave a demonstration,
and exhibit featuring fruit. Linda.
Smith commented On the uses of
of dried fruit and Bonnie Bremner,
Janet Veitch and BrePda SMith
demonstrated three ways to serve
fruit' for breakfast:, how to make
baked apples and rhubarb criap.
A quiz on fruit was conducted by
MT'S Frank WorkMan, one of the
leaders, and charades by Mrs.
Jack Cox. It was decided to con-
tribute up to $25 for an adopted
child. Mrs. Gordon Engel was ap-
pointed in place of MrS. Mac
McIntosh for the remainder of the
year. Lunch was in charge of Mrs.
Cliff 'Bray and Mrs. Jack Cox.
