Hold Their Annual Banquet
The annual. banquet of the
Wat(Ou NVomen's Ineritute was
held' in the church basement,
Wednesday, A.pril 22, with the 1.7(11
and Boundary Unit catering to a
delicious turkey' supper. There
were f46. members and two guests
present. 'Mrs. Alvin McDonald
opened with the toast to the
Queen followed. by the singing of
Gad Save • the Queen, with Mrs.
Harold Bolger as. pienist. After
the first course Mrs. .T, van Vliet
Jr, led in a sing song. At the com-
pletion of the meal Mrs. Mae
Sholdice gave thanks on behalf of
all present for the bountiful meal.

dent of this community, died 'Mon-
day, in Wingham and District
Hospital, in his `3rd year, after a
prolonged illness.
lie was it native of Grey Town-
ship, a son of the lute Nr. and
Mrs, Elijah jacklin ; He farmed all
his life in Grey and Morris Town-
ships.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Gertie Stephenson, two.
daughters, Mrs. Lawrtmee :(Vi-
olet) Mecham, Mrs. Jack (Mildred)
Wheeler, both of Brussels; two
sons, -Melville and Lawrence
also of Brussels: one sister, Mrs,
Telford (Pearl) Xeffer, Brussels.
Also survivin g are 211 grand-.

children.
