'ONTARIO 1S SNOWMOBILE
'CAPITAL O F THE WORLD
The fastest growing winter
sport has 'to be snowmobiling It,
is a healthy ontdoor recreation
that can he enjoYed by the whole
family, When operated with ardin-
nry common sense the snowmobile

from accidents.
In a recent speech in Duluth
Minn. to the intern:Ilona] Snow-
mebile Congress, Mr. ,Tames Auld,
Vnik.ario's Minister of 'tourism ;
that undoubtedly Ontario is
the snowmobile , capital of the
World. Winter tourism .in.Ontario
has increased considerably • 'be-
cause of it. • Auld Said that
there Were • 1.1 000 snoWntobiles
le the Pro'vinCe and 7,000 dealers.
The Ontario Automotive Assoc-
iation believes the sport is still
in its, infaney and because of the
extremely rapid growth ; a hard
gist, look should no given to im-
proving safety and to reducing
the number of accident that have
been proportionately high.
i'Mortunniely, the use of the
snowmobile has been abused and
senseless risks have been taken
by the type of Show-Off and
Grandstander that you will also
find involved in automobile an

who are dousing most of the ac-
cidents and who will be require
sible for the enforcement of muen

operation of snowmobiles. Alcohol
