Wheeler, the former Shaw farm, was lost along with a large quantity of hay and straw and some crop. 14'ortmlately the grain, Was stored in the home barn, The Brasselft fire department were unable to• save . the barn •aa. the fire had gained rapid headway but prevented its spread • :to . an adjacent shed containing mach- inery, and to neighbouring bum- ings. The hare. on. the grass farm of Ronald -Gordon Con. 0, Morris, was also totally destroyed with the season's crop of hay and straw. Also lost in the fire was a com- bine and other machinery. The eattle were in the fields at the time. No fire department was called as the blaze was too far advanced when discovered.
