Campaign,
Tim campaign is aimed at alert-

ment,
The campaign stresses the need
for corect tire inflation, regular
inspections of the driver's contacts
with the road and care in select-
ing replacement tires.
Tires that are too soft or too
hard reduce the driver's control
of his Vehiele because they're not
running on the full tread, The right

bitted widely by the Council in co,
operation with the Rubber As-
sociation of Canada.
Proper tire inspection can pre.
vent many dangerous tire failures
caused by 'bald and damaged tires.
When the tread gets worn down
to a depth of one sixteenth or an
inch, the tire should be replaced.
Bald tires skid easily on wet
Surfaces. Adequate tread depth
prevents aqua-planing, a danger-
ous grater-skiing effect caused by
water forcing its way under bald-
ing tires running on wet roads.
The Council also alerts motor-
Ms to the danger of mixing tires

IN CASE OF
POISONING
All too often children die of
-roisoning because of delay - -
calling a doctor, in getting the
victim to the hospital, in identi-
fying the poisin, in determining
correct treatment;
If you suspeCt tha your child
has swallowed poison, don't delay,
says the federal health depart-
ment publication, "Keep. Your
Home Free From Poisoning".
Here's what to do;
1. Call a doctor' immediately.
Delay can be fatal. If your
doctor is not available call
the emergency services of
your hospital, police or fire
departments.
Tell the doctor not only
what the child has swallow-
ed but alSo the brand name
of the product. This ensures
proper identification of the
poison. involved.
If the doctor advises it,
waste no time getting the
child to hospital.
4. Show the label or contain-
er to the doctor, or take
them to the hospital with
the patient.
Remember that antidotes are
not the answer. Prevention is!

Don't let seed prices per hundred or per bushel fool you... Figure your seed cost per acre. Then compare what CO-OP gives for the slight difference there might he — a better grade, a higher percentage germination and many thousand' of weed seeds less per acre.
And don't forget, seed cost per acre is a small part of the total investment of seeding when you consider seed bed 'preparation.
