FARMERS MAY PURCHASE
MACHINERY FROM BRITAIN
THROUGH FEDERATION
In a special executive meeting
,TarIllarY 3rd, 191111, the Ontario
Federation of .4.griculture decided
to widen its twenties of farm
ma ch pry imports from 'Britain.
Application forms will be made
available to Ontario Farmers by
which they may order the mach.-
inerY they wish to purchase
through the Federation.
Some months ago the OFA im-
ported seven tractors from Brit-
ain to illustrate inflated input
costs confronting farmers and
their costs of production, The
seven tractors saved the buying
farmers about iii20A00,
The executive decision Will
allow the farmer to order any
piece of machinery he wishes if
it is available according to his
own personal specifications. Each
farmer must contact the Feder-
ation by SpeCial application form
stating the machinery he wishes
to purchase and its specifications.
This must he accompanied by a
non-returnable $10 ser'v'ice fee.
This will entitle the farmer to a.
Federation quote price on the
machinery desired if it is avail-
able and a special. order form. The
order form must then be returned
with a cetified cheque for thepur-
chase.
It is known that a number of
farmers wish to purchase com-
bines for their Operations. The
Federation may save as much or
more than 50'7 per piece of
machinery for the farmer through
the iinportatiOn operation.
