Seventy attended the surprise
gathering and enjoyed the fun-
filled program, For the "dress
the bridal couple" contest, Mrs.

Mrs. 'Cecil 13artja, RR 2, Monkton

groom,

Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose a floor
length, sheath style gown of La-
goda crepe with scoop neckline
and empire waist. A cape effect
bodice was edged with delicate
Chantilly lace. The detachable
chapel length train fell in grace-
ful folds from the waist back and
was accented with tiny hews.
Her tiered headpiece was held by
four rosette buds, centred by
silver stems and surrounded by
satin leaves. Sl-e. caned a bOquel
of white roses, centred by a white
orchid.

A wedding dinner followed in
the church parlour. In the evening
a reception was theld at the Com-
munity Centre, Brodhagen, with
200 guests attending.
The bride's mother chose a
street length dress of champagne
beige, sparkle crepe with
draped neckline in an !..A." line
style. She 'were beige accessories
and a hat in beige and gold tones
and a, corsage of bronze mums.
The groom's Mother wore an
aqua blue corded crepe street
length, "A" line dress featuring
a wedding ring collar. Pink ac-
cessories and a corsage of plait
mums completed her ensemble,
For a wedding trip to the east
coast, the bride changed to a
earnation pink french knit Silk
de Lyon, twopiece dress, a white
wool coat With gold Military
buttons, black accessories and a
corsage of white mums.
Upon their return Mn'and Mrs
Mann will reside at RR 1; Monk-
ton.
Guests attended from Calgary,
London, Toronto, Listowel,
ton, Hanover, Atwood, Moncrieff
Clinton, Seaforth, Staffa, Sit-0We
Ingersoll, Milverton, Walton and
Goderich.
CHANGES OF TIME
25 years ago citizens lined up
four' deep at the Stratford market
to buy honey. A policeman was on
duty to keep the crowd in order.
Four-pound tins of honey sold for
72 cents, and comb honey was 40
cents a section.

short empire styled dresses of
crystalette cut leaf velvet over
green taffeta, featuring sqUarQ
