HOME POOLS CAN BE
FATAL FOR CHILDREN
Homo pool drownings are in-
creasing at an alarming rate ac-
. cording to the Natloaal Safety
Council Canada, Studies show
that over half of the fatalities
.Fire co children under ten.
The mnshrobniing growth of
these pools has outstripped the
ability of many home owners to
operate them safely,
The League states that more
than half of all pool. fatalities
could be prevented by:
(1) Adequate fencing and
other protection around the pool.
0) Constant adult supervision
N yonngsters in and around the

pool.
0) Instruction of young child-

and skills at the earliest PoSsible
age.
Do not let a home pool which
can provide so much fun 'and plea,
sure bring 'tragedy' 'and grief.
