REPORT FROM QUEEN'S PARK BY: MURRAY GAUNT (MPP, Huron-Bruce) '- Premier John Roberts, the opening of Parliament this week predicted a long and active ses- sion' ot, the Ontario Legislature. The Throne Speech contained many promises of legislation. The Ontario Housing Corpor' ation is prepared to start a crash program aimed at providing sev- eral thousand new homes across the province by the end of this year. This would cut payments by as much as half, particulary in the larger urban areas, because buyers would only have to worry about the cost of the bonse alone. The Government would buy the land and ltese it to the individual hoindowner or private builder for a modest interest rate. The leasce would be able to pinichaBe the lot outrighu any Cade w lolled. arettS• that :are .going to receive attention in the coming session are as follows: E.ducaLlon Larger and more flexible grants for public and hill. schools, Health..
