Duff's UCW Meeting
Mrs. William Coutts leader
of the Walton Unit , was in.
charge of Duff's UCW meeting
held in the Church Sunday
School rooms. The meeting was
opened with the hymn "Come Ye
Thankful People Come", with
Mrs. Martin Baa.n at the piano.
Mrs. Coatis presented the theme
'based on ','Let 'QS Remember
Jesus", The scripture reading,.
Mathew 6;25-33, read by Mrs.
Emerson Mitchell, was followed
by prayer by Mrs. W. C. Hack-
well. The offering, received 'by
Mrs. Kenneth McDonald, was
dedicated. The hynm "Jesus Calls
Us O'er the Tumult" was sung.
Mrs. Walter Bewley, who intro-
duced the New Study Book,
Realms of a. Christian Calling",
Chapter 1, Evangelism, said One
of the seven examples of a
Christian realizing his calling is
everyday work. A 1961 study. book
is "Canada in Canadian Chur-
ches,"
Minutes of previous meeting
were read by Airs. Campbell
Wey. Mrs. Gordon MCGa,vin.
had charge of the business. The
annual Turkey Supper will be
held in the church basement.
Mrs. Harvey BroWn reported on
the school for leaders in St.
Thomas. The meeting, the theme
of which was "The Church in the
World", was closed with, a person-
alized version, of the LOrd's
prayer.
Mrs. Kenneth McDonald gave
treasurer's report. It was reported
by Mrs. Clarence Martin that all
needed articles for the bale had
been rceived and Would be sent.:
