,agement. with Lakefield Fair.
Now, it so happened that my
dear friend and bosom, pal, old
Poison ivy Ivan. Campbell, had
business in Perth the.. same day.
The business wLts. over 21 years
• of age so it was nobody's but
• his and hers. He came. to me to
•. make satisfactory arrangements
abut going together, His ac-
rnngements were satsfactory to
him .alright. I bought the oil and,
gas and paid for a few minor re-
pairs to the car plus two tires, T
paid for three meals four lunches
and four refreshments. I got him
a pass • for himself and car to
-fairgrounds and most nip prtant
taught .him to be a gentleman,
was pleased to see that when he
came to pick me up be had
Howard Bernard with him. I
thought. they were pals but I
soon fonnd Out old poison ivy had
brought Reward along as a travel-
ling mechanic. Howard had a
welding torch, pipe wrenches and
6 long Pieces of iron to weld the
car together again if shook apart.
The car wasn't in bad shape. It
• Only needed a balance job, bush-
ings, bearings and a new motor.
• Ivan should have had the same
things done to himself. especial-
ly . the balance job.

We started and all was well
